FERRY COUNTY, Wash. – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) Police have asked the public for help identifying a person, or potentially persons, of interest after a bull moose was discovered killed and wasted in the Sherman Pass area.
Officials reported that the moose was discovered on October 1 between Kettle Falls and Republic. The head and backstraps were removed, but approximately 500 pounds of meat was left to waste.
WDFW Police described this as a “blatant wildlife violation.” They are urging anyone with information to contact them at 360-902-2936 and select option 1 from the automated menu.
