SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Iowa’s governor spent part of her day in northwest Iowa, listening to what Iowans want when lawmakers return to Des Moines for the 2026 legislative session.
Governor Kim Reynolds hosted a roundtable, in Hull, Iowa, Thursday. She met with local government and community leaders in Sioux County to discuss key issues like property tax reform.
Reynolds said it’s time for a change, and that there’s a lot to look at in this upcoming session.
“I think that without a doubt it is Iowans’ expectations that we get something done this year regarding property tax reform and hopefully a reduction, bending the curve, and start to see a relief for property taxpayers,” said the governor.
Reynolds spoke with Sioux County leaders about different ways to deliver services in the county;
