GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Greenville Police Department reports a suspect hit a patrol car while trying to escape from officers on Thursday.
Officers said they tried to serve a warrant on a wanted suspect at the intersection of Shaw Street and Rutherford Street. The suspect attempted to leave the area and hit a patrol car.
He then led officers in a foot chase before he was arrested, according to police.
Deante Moore, 24, who was driving the vehicle that struck the patrol car, had warrants for autobreaking and additional charges of cocaine possession and interfering, officers said.
Police report 26-year-old Jaquez Drakeford, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with interfering and simple possession of marijuana.
