The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 16-year-old Misty Mercado, who was reported missing Thursday morning.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., Misty was dropped off by a school bus but did not stay on school property. She was last seen walking west on Franklin Street with two other juvenile females.

Misty is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds. She has green eyes, wears glasses, and had her brown hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing white shoes, blue jeans, a black jacket, and was carrying a brown and maroon bookbag.
