COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — From an outside perspective, this may just look like a traditional tribal dance. But for CDA Tribal Dancer Jonathan Nomee, this is the night his childhood dreams came true.
Officially bringing the title of 2025 Fancy Dancer World Champion back home to the CDA Tribe from the PowWow Dance Championships in Alberta, Canada. A competition he was hand-picked for from a pool of dancers across North America.
"You know I'm still Jonathon Nomee from Worley, Idaho," said Nomee. "It's still surreal to me you know, I didn't think I would be in a position that I'm in today."
A point in his dance career that wouldn't be possible without the help of his grandma or 'Yaya'.
"My grandma was always my biggest supporter, my biggest fan," said Nomee.
