The Barrington School Department has estimated it would cost more than $117,000 to release curriculum materials and emails related to the Barrington High School teacher who posted a TikTok video criticizing conservative political activist Charlie Kirk shortly after he was shot and killed.

A press release issued Thursday, Oct. 30, by the Goldwater Institute revealed that Barrington Public Schools are charging $117,130.50 for the work required to gather information requested about BHS social studies teacher Ben Fillo. The public records request, filed by Nicole Solas, calls for the curriculum materials used by Fillo and any emails from Fillo’s work account over the last nine years that include the word “Trump.”
