BENGALURU: In a unique move aimed at curbing littering in public and to spread awareness about cleanliness, the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) dumped garbage in front of the houses of people who were found littering on Dattatreya Temple Road in Banashankari 2nd Stage.
The GBA team, along with Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd, dumped garbage in front of the houses of those who were littering on the road instead of handing over the waste to the garbage collection autorickshaw tippers.
The GBA staff had been observing that people were littering on the road, and despite repeated requests, they were not stopping. As a result, the civic body staff decided to take a different approach. They started dumping garbage in front of the houses of those who were littering, with a fine of Rs 100
