A Rossville woman and her niece have finally made contact with loved ones after losing communication for two days when Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica.
Marlene Chionye and her niece are safe but stranded, as their flight home was canceled with the airport still closed. Chionye, who is diabetic, is running low on insulin and supplies.
The pair found Wi-Fi at a nearby resort and hope to reach Kingston, four hours away, to catch another flight.
Efforts are underway to connect them with the Red Cross for assistance.
