UC Davis senior outside hitter Jade Light put down a match-high 19 kills and the Big West-leading Aggies held off a spirited Hawaii team 25-21, 22-25, 28-26, 25-20 today at University Union Credit Center in Davis, Calif.
Bri Gunderson led four Rainbow Wahine in double figures with 15 kills and hit .636 as Hawaii (8-14, 4-7) had its opportunities to steal a win against the Aggies (15-5, 11-1).
UH had two set points in the third set to take a 2-1 lead in the match but failed to convert.
The Aggies hit .333 with 16 kills in the final set to beat UH in four sets for the second time this season.
Cha’lei Reid had 13 kills, Tyla Reese Manę recorded her first-ever double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs and Miliana Sylvester had 11 kills and four blocks for UH, which lost for the third time in
