FENTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Gun show organizers say they employ multiple security measures after thieves stole two pistols from a gun show held at the STL Athletic Center in Fenton last weekend.

St. Louis County police said the thefts occurred during the gun show held Oct. 24-26. Police are still searching for the stolen weapons.

Alex Salsman, director at BK Promotions, said the company puts on dozens of gun shows throughout the Midwest every year. She said they focus on safety and security at all events.

“Most shows won’t have any theft at all, but when you get up into the bigger, huge shows like you see in St. Charles or St. Louis, some of the big ones, you inevitably have a few bad actors that make their way to the show,” Salsman said.
