The Edmonton Oilers blew a 3-1 lead against the New York Rangers Thursday at Rogers Place, victimized by multiple defensive turnovers in particular.

The game was knotted at one after one. Edmonton dominated play in the second, outshooting the Rangers 14-8 as they extended their lead to 3-1. But two turnovers by Oilers D-men allowed New York back into this one, even at 3-3.

Edmonton could not convert on a Third Period/OT Power Play (which should have been a four-minute minor).

New York salted it away in the extra frame. Make the final 4-3.
