Arcade Fire band members Win Butler and Regine Chassagne have announced that they are separating after more than 20 years of marriage.

The longtime couple got married in 2003, one year before their band dropped its first album. They are parents to one child, who was born in 2013.

Despite their breakup as a couple, Win and Regine are committed to continuing their creative partnership and Arcade Fire will not be affected.

“After a long and loving marriage, Win & Regine have decided to separate,” the band wrote on Instagram . “They continue to love, admire and support each other as they co-parent their son.
