With the Alberta teachers’ strike ending on Wednesday after three weeks , it also meant that local high schools had to figure out a way to complete the Prairie Sky Conference football season after it was put on pause on Oct. 6 due to the strike.

League coaches met via Google Meet on Tuesday night and decided to resume with playoffs next week.

“Just said, ‘Hey we’re going back tomorrow (on Wednesday), what do we gotta do to get … 4A and 3A playoffs going? 5A’s really easy to work with that’s just call out to Connor Ralph in Raymond, and between myself and Connor, we work out a date that we can play, but for the 4A there’s a lot to do,” said Darren Majeran, Prairie Sky Conference football commissioner and LCI football head coach.
