Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of stoking regional tensions during the Bihar election campaign and “forgetting the dignity” of his office.
Posting a video clip of Modi’s speech from a rally in Bihar’s Chhapra on Thursday, Stalin said the Prime Minister “often forgets” that he holds a position meant to serve all citizens of India.
“As a Tamil, I painfully request that he should not lose the dignity due to his position by such speeches,” he said. “In this great India, which is multi-faceted and sees unity in diversity,” Stalin added, “I insist that the Prime Minister and the BJP stop their petty political activities of creating hatred between Hindus and Muslims, and of creating hostility between Tamils and the people of
