What a time to be a Syosset soccer player.
Like the boys team , the girls have a date with the county finals this Sunday against defending champion Oceanside, which as a one seed steamrolled its way to a 6-0 victory over Port Washington in the semifinals.
Syosset, meanwhile, fought tooth and nail to beat Massapequa 1-0 in overtime in the last round.
“The girls have really come together as a group and really generated this team-first mentality,” three-seed Syosset head coach Tyler Arnone told The Post.
“That’s helped us this year because we faced a ton of adversity, whether it be injuries, playing in a top conference, or results didn’t always go our way.”
