River Island shoppers are guaranteed to fawn over a budget-friendly bag that looks a lot like a much more expensive designer version. The high street retailer has released a new crossbody that's perfect for wearing to Christmas parties and looks incredibly similar to a Dolce& Gabbana handbag.

The Red Heart Lock Cross Body Bag costs £39, much cheaper than it's high-end counterpart. If you were to opt for the luxury Small Devotion top-handle bag, it would set you back a cool £1,700, making River Island's version £1,661 cheaper.

Available in black or red, the bag has been crafted from a faux leather with a grab top handle as well as an adjustable shoulder strap for easy and comfortable wearing. It comes with gold-tone hardware, similar to the Dolce & Gabbana bag
