A hit-and-run driver killed one woman and hospitalized another person in Lake View Terrace on Thursday night.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said the 50-year-old woman died at the scene. The Los Angeles Police Department did not immediately have a description of the suspect's vehicle.

Polie said the other pedestrian was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition.
