A new futsal and basketball court is now open at Walerga Park near Citrus Heights, thanks to a community project led by Sacramento Republic FC. The soccer club marked the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a free youth soccer clinic for Twin Rivers Unified students. The colorful, multi-use court can switch between basketball and futsal in seconds. Since 2019, Republic FC and its partners have built 13 mini-pitches across the Sacramento region, giving local residents free, safe spaces to play and stay active.
