NEW CUMBERLAND – The Hancock County Board of Education considered several personnel moves as part of its meeting Monday.

Among those were the hiring of Ashley K. Hinerman as LPN/Autism mentor at New Manchester Elementary, and Penny Ellis as Bus Operator 142 under the Transportation Department. Assistant Superintendent Dave Smith noted earlier in the meeting both positions had been vacant.

The classified hirings are effective as of today, according to the agenda.

One position not approved Monday was the proposed naming of Justin Horstman as an assistant boys basketball coach for Weir High, with the position paid for by the booster organization.
