President Donald Trump has grown weary of Democrats’ efforts to prolong the government shutdown. He has called on Republican senators to use the “nuclear option” to end it.

In two posts to his Truth Social account late Thursday night, the president urged Republicans to end the filibuster in order to end the shutdown. In his message, Trump scolded the Democrats, labeling them “crazy,” insinuating that this is why drastic legislative measures must be taken, citing previous efforts by Democrats to try to implement the procedure.
