The smoggy skies of Delhi-NCR are doing more than blurring the skyline, they’re choking its residents. A new survey by community platform LocalCircles has found that three in four households in the region currently have at least one individual unwell, as toxic air and seasonal viruses collide to create a major public health crisis.

The survey, which gathered over 15,000 responses from Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad, shows a sharp increase in illness over the past month.

In late September, 56% of households had reported one or more sick members; that figure has now surged to 75%.
