For unknown reasons, President Donald Trump seems to have just threatened to break the moratorium on underground nuclear weapons testing observed by nuclear superpowers the United States, China and Russia for over 30 years. Equally frightening has been the seeming complacence with which the President’s cabinet and advisers have greeted this proposal.
