The future of “CBS Mornings” anchor Gayle King has become a subject of speculation after a report Thursday said she would be departing the show when her contract expires in May 2026.
Variety reports "four people with knowledge of the situation" said King would leave the morning show but might assume a different role with the network’s news division. King, 70, has been a co-anchor on “CBS Mornings” since 2012.
The network is denying the rumors, Deadline reports , saying there “have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract.”
“She’s a truly valued part of CBS and we look forward to engaging with her about her future,” a spokesperson tells Deadline.
