ONTARIO — One playoff spot was on the line Thursday night.
Claremont stormed into Colony on Thursday night needing a win and a loss by Glendora to Los Osos for a chance to clinch an automatic playoff spot. Both of those things happened for the Wolfpack.
Claremont picked up a 25-14 win against Colony, and Los Osos put on a beating against Glendora to give Claremont the third and final automatic berth from the Sierra League.
The Wolfpack and Los Osos finished tied for third in the final standings, but Claremont gets the playoff berth because of a 28-24, head-to-head victory over the Grizzlies.
