ADDISON, Texas — Neighbors at the Homes of Addison Place are mourning the loss of one of their own, and some regret that they didn't do more to check on a neighbor who may have been dead inside their home for several months.
"Very regrettable that I and my neighbors didn't check on her," said Gary McIntyre, who says the HOA sent multiple notices regarding past dues and that the local mail carrier had noticed mail piling up in her mailbox at the corner townhome unit on Planters Row.
"Just regrettable that we were not being good neighbors," McIntyre added.
What they did not know is that their neighbor, Pauline Williams, 69, may have been dead inside her home for several weeks, if not several months.
