New Delhi, Oct 31: China Eastern Airlines is set to increase its direct flights between Shanghai Pudong and New Delhi from three to five weekly flights starting January 2, 2026, in response to rising demand.
The flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, utilizing Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The company plans to expand its services to include routes such as Kunming-Kolkata and Shanghai Pudong-Mumbai, aiming to boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between India and China.
This follows the resumption of flights after a five-year hiatus, previously announced to begin on November 9, 2023.
