Gogglebox has introduced its audience to a multitude of families over the years, and while some have become permanent fixtures on the sofa, others have only had a brief run. ‌

One such family is the Manuels , who made their debut on the Channel 4 hit in 2016 but didn't stick around for long. ‌

The Scottish family - consisting of father Charles, mother Donna and their grown-up son Grant - joined the show as armchair critics in its seventh series. The Manuels were on Gogglebox at the same time as other families like the Malones, the Tappers and the Siddiquis , but unlike them, they didn't last long on the programme. ‌

Their introduction wasn't without hiccups, as it was reported that some viewers had complained about struggling to understand the family
