The Toronto Blue Jays’ first appearance in the World Series in more than three decades has fans across Niagara scrambling to bars to take in the games — and the rousing atmosphere.
The Jays could win their third championship tonight at Rogers Centre, with Game 7 against the Los Angeles Dodgers scheduled for Saturday if need be, also at home.
Personal schedules or the cost of tickets might have prevented people from seeing the games live, but plenty are heading to local bars to take in the action with other fans.
Bar manager Jeff Yeatman has worked at Kully’s Original Sports Bar in St. Catharines for 11 years. He remembers previous Jays playoff runs, especially in 2015 against the Texas Rangers that involved the iconic Jose Bautista bat flip.
The energy he sees from fans now echoes
