FORT MADISON (WGEM) - Reading, writing, and arithmetic are the three staples of learning.
Students got lessons in humility, humbleness, and heartwarming work in Fort Madison Thursday.
From cleaning to baking, Fort Madison High School students are making a difference.
“I really love the town of Fort Madison,” said Tatum Peters, a senior at the school. “And I just think it is really special, it’s definitely special to me and my family. So, I just want to give back to the town that has given me so much.”
Students, like Peters, showed their appreciation to their town and its people with the Community Service Day.
This was a non-mandatory day for students, but many students came out to support.
