Since then, the couple has spent seven years restoring the property, encountering rats and asbestos along the way
Now, the couple runs a monthly community event involving local antique sellers and collectors out of the property's dairy barn
Marlise and Benjamin Myers love to give old things new life.
It began with a 1950s farmhouse that was at risk of getting bulldozed. Rather than see it disappear, the couple restored it back to a state worthy of a feature in Better Homes & Gardens .
When the opportunity presented itself to bring new life to the “Betty Crocker House” in Valley Center, Calif., the Myers couldn’t pass it up.
