SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Happy Halloween! Today is a first alert weather day as we are dealing with gusty winds, especially as we head into the afternoon and evening.

Today, we started off on a damp note, as rain from yesterday comes to an end early this morning. We picked up a decent soaking in Western Mass.

Low pressure is still moving north, so while the bulk of the rain is over, we remain mostly cloudy and breezy, with a spot shower chance today. Winds shift out of the WSW, gusting to 30-50 mph at times, higher wind gusts in the hills.

** A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Western Mass from 2pm Friday through 5am Saturday. **

Trick-or-treating time should be good to go in terms of rain, but we will be dealing with gusty winds.
