The UK Government said it has launched the Timms Review to ensure that Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is “fair and fit for the future in a changing world” and aims to help support disabled people to achieve “better health, higher living standards and greater independence, including through employment”.
PIP currently provides additional financial support of between £116.80 and £749.80 every four-week payment period to over 3.8 million people in England and Wales. Nobody in Scotland can claim PIP and all existing claimants have now been successfully transferred to Adult Disability Payment.
