A Marathi film actor on Thursday said she narrowly escaped a meeting with Rohit Arya – the man who held 19 people , including 17 children and a senior citizen, hostage inside a Powai acting studio – after learning he had invited her weeks earlier for what he described as a “film project on hostage situations.”

Actor Ruchita Jadhav, known for her roles in Marathi films and TV serials, revealed in an emotional Instagram post that Arya had contacted her on October 4, introducing himself as a filmmaker and offering her a part in a film about a hostage crisis.
