United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby in a press conference alongside Vance called for Senate Democrats to end the shutdown by joining with Republicans in passing a stopgap funding measure without any Obamacare subsidies. Kirby also thanked Duffy, air traffic controllers, the Transportation Security Administration and the Federal Aviation Administration for "working hard" — most without pay — during the shutdown.
