I-25 near Santa Fe closed after crash kills two people

Two motorists were killed in an early Friday morning crash on Interstate 25 near 6th Avenue.

Both motorists were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which was reported to police just before 3 a.m., the Denver Police Department wrote on social media . The incident prompted the closure of the northbound lanes of I-25 near Santa Fe Drive.

Police said they were investigating the crash and that they had no timeline for the reopening of the I-25 lanes.
