RACELAND, Ky. (WSAZ) - A fugitive wanted in connection with kidnapping, assault, and disrupting public services was caught and arrested in Raceland, according to the Raceland Police Department.
On October 29, police were told by the Ironton Police Department that the fugitive was in the Raceland-Wurtland area.
Raceland Police officers began to gather information on the fugitive, Steven Overbee, 50, of Wurtland.
Police said Overbee had a previous conviction for complicity to commit murder in Lee County, KY, and was released from prison in 2021.
On October 30, police assisted by the Russell and Flatwood Police Departments served a fugitive warrant on Overbee at 1311 Wurtland Ave. in Wurtland.
Overbee was charged with fugitive from another state-warrant required, possession of marijuana,
