AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Police Department is seeking information on the murder of Donald Lutz that took place in 2003.
Officials say on Nov. 2, 2003, Amarillo police officers responded to a call about a broken door on West Studebaker Ave.
After officers arrived at the home, they found Lutz’s body.
Officials say a neighbor had expressed concerned when she hadn’t seen Lutz for several days which prompted the wellness check.
Officials say he was last seen Halloween night in 2003 by a neighbor who noticed the front door of his house opened late at night.
According to officials, it was clear that Lutz suffered from a gunshot wound to the head and showed signs of trauma.
Amarillo police say when family members arrived at the home, they identified Lutz and began sharing detail
