The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is asking the public for help in locating a stolen dog.

SPD is asking people to look out for Buddy, a beloved pet who was stolen by a 17-time convicted felon, according to the department.

“The owner is heartbroken. We don’t know where he left the dog, if he sold it, gave it to someone, we just want to bring this owner’s dog home,” Michelle Barker, the lead investigator on the case, stated in SPD’s post .

Buddy, a two-year-old micro bully, escaped his family’s yard over the summer. A neighbor reported seeing Buddy run down the street and caught him. Another neighbor, named Jose Haughton, said he would return Buddy to his family.
