CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cuyahoga County Delegation will host an emergency press conference Friday morning urging immediate action as the federal shutdown threatens Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

19 News will be streaming the emergency press conference at 11 a.m.

The press conference will be a call on Gov. Mike DeWine to step up and do the state’s part to help preserve SNAP benefits for the 1.4 million Ohioans who depend on the program.

On Thursday evening, DeWine, along with Ohio Senate President Rob McColley, and Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman announced they have secured $25 million to help with the loss for some Ohioans.
