NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — David Bottner of the New Orleans Mission says that the work of feeding people in a Northshore community is helped in large part by the nonprofit Creole Cuisine Cares.
"We're at the New Orleans Mission Pantry in Lacombe, Louisiana, where 90 of our men are working through the recovery program and learning to give back to the community by meeting the needs of for food insecurity," says Bottner.
Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts owns and operates a couple of dozen local restaurants, including A'Tavola and Broussard's, and employs over 1,700 people.
The Ammari family is the driving force and sees supporting the community as closely tied to their faith.
