Hibs are keeping a close eye on Dante Polvara's contract situation at Aberdeen with the midfielder yet to agree to an extension.

The American is out-of-contract in the summer, with the Easter Road outfit keeping him on a list of possible midfield options for the summer.

And David Gray's current goalkeeping coach Craig Samson knows the 25-year-old well from their time together in the Granite City , reports Record Sport .

The Leith side pulled off a similar move in the summer when they raided the Dons to sign Jamie McGrath on a pre-contract.

Aberdeen had offered McGrath a two year extension but Hibs won that fight by offering a third year.

The Dons' issue this time around is not finance, and Polvara has publicly stated the key to his Pittodrie future is regular game time.
