Kabaddi player shot dead in broad daylight

Jagraon (Ludhiana), October 31, 2025: A shocking incident of broad daylight murder has rocked Jagraon as a 26-year-old Kabaddi player, identified as Tejpal Singh from village Giddarwindi, was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Hari Singh Hospital Road around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

According to eyewitnesses, six to seven unidentified men surrounded Tejpal Singh and his friends, brutally assaulted them, and later opened fire on Tejpal, killing him on the spot.

The assailants fled the scene immediately after committing the crime. What has further alarmed residents is that the incident took place just a few steps away from the offices of senior police officials of Ludhiana (Rural).
