The Miami Dolphins and general manager Chris Grier have reportedly parted ways mutually, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network 's Tom Pelissero on Friday (October 31).
The reported decision came hours after the Dolphins' blowout home Thursday Night Football loss to the Baltimore Ravens , dropping to 2-7 through their first nine games of the 2025 NFL season.
"The #Dolphins and GM Chris Grier have mutually parted ways, per sources," Pelissero wrote on his X account. "The Dolphins had mostly fended off trade calls in recent weeks, trying to turn things around. Now, at 2-7, a major change atop the football operation -- and potentially a shift in trade talks coming between now and the 4 p.m. ET Tuesday deadline."
