DALTON, Ga. (WDEF) — More than 200 workers in North Georgia could be out of a job starting right after Christmas.
Mannington Mills recently filed a “WARN notice” with the State of Georgia.
It says company has made “the difficult decision to shut down its Residential Carpet Business.”
Mannington Mills blames “continual decline in demand and unfavorable market conditions” for the closing.
That all adds up to 150 jobs at their Dalton facility and 61 jobs at their Chatsworth facility.
Mannington expects the plant closures and layoffs to be permanent.
