PLATTENVILLE, La. — A Donaldsonville woman has been arrested on multiple felony and traffic charges after allegedly falsely claiming to be a police officer during a traffic stop in Assumption Parish, authorities said.
Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested 26-year-old Carla Marie Bell on Thursday evening after a traffic stop near LA 70 Spur and LA 308 in Plattenville, Louisiana.
A patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail stopped a vehicle for multiple equipment violations and identified the driver as Bell, according to the sheriff’s office. The deputy learned Bell was driving with a suspended license.
