ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) - A suspect that was shot by Abilene police during a struggle on Butternut Street earlier this month has been identified.

Christopher Luckey was booked into the Taylor County Jail for Aggravated Assault in connection to the incident, which happened just before 6:30 p.m. October 13.

Court documents state officers contacted Luckey on the 100 block of Butternut Street, and when they tried to place him into handcuffs, a struggle ensued, where officers attempted to unsuccessfully tase Luckey multiple times.

The documents state that while an officer was struggling with Luckey on the ground, Luckey got his hand on the officer's gun and fired the trigger, causing a shot to hit Luckey in the leg.
