If you’re a driver in Alberta, you may want to fill up your tank before the weekend, as gas prices are set to rise in both major cities today and tomorrow.

According to the gas price forecasting site Gas Wizard , the price of gas is expected to jump by six cents over the course of the weekend in Calgary and Edmonton.

In Calgary, regular gas is set to increase by three cents on Friday and another three cents on Saturday, bringing the total to about $1.27 per litre. Premium will rise by six cents over the next two days to $1.50 per litre, while diesel will see a one-cent increase on Saturday to $1.45 per litre.
