OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Animal Shelter is looking for support for its pet food pantry.

According to the shelter, the pet food pantry was established to help keep pets with their families and out of the shelter. Families facing financial hardship may struggle to provide for their animals, leading to returning their pet or rehoming them.

Most of the pantry consists of donations and is often running low due to high demand.

The OKC Animal Shelter is looking for the following items: • Dog and cat food (dry or canned). • Kitten and puppy milk replacer. • Dog and cat treats. • Leashes and collars. • Pet grooming supplies. • Puppy pads. • Cat litter. • Gallon-size re-closable plastic bags.

Donations can be taken to the Animal Shelter located at 2811 SE 29th St.
