Last Sunday, the Hog Island community gathered at the cozy, welcoming home of Bunky Knowles to celebrate its 2025 season and present the trophy to the series winner.

Some adjustments to the weekly routine were required this year because the traditional venue, the beach and pier on Chapoquoit Island, was no longer available to the fleet. But Hog Island Racers are an amazingly resourceful and optimistic crowd. There were some differences to be sure, but the group came together in new ways and the essence of the series was largely the same. That too was something to celebrate.
