When it comes to the celebration of Mexican customs, luchador Magno can’t think of a better pairing than Día de los Muertos and lucha libre.

“I was born in Guadalupe, Mexico, but they brought me over to El Paso, Texas, when I was a little kid, so for me, Día de los Muertos has been more of a tradition,” Magno said during a recent phone interview. Luchador Magno, alongside lucha libre wrestlers Los Chupacabras, Misterioso Jr., La Fantasma de Paquita (and her ghostly chancla), Dirty Sanchez, and more will enter the ring at the Fox Theater Pomona on Saturday, Nov. 8.

For the first time in 23 years, Lucha VaVoom is hosting a Día de los Muertos event on the heels of moving from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles to its new home in Pomona.
